This is not a live album, it is an "almost-live" album. We spent over a year rehearsing songs off of 'Building Stars' and 'Outliars' and were about ready to book our first live show then the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. During those difficult times we released 'mEnd' and began working on brand new music as well. Because of this influx of new material, we shifted what would have been our first live set around to include these newer tracks. Some songs were set on the back burner, and we decided not to incorporate them in our current live set. We spent a lot of time and energy on these songs, so we thought we would give them their proper due.

This album is very close to what we had in mind for our debut show. In the spirit of almost getting to play live before the pandemic, we wanted this album to also be "almost-live". This album was not recorded in a traditional manner on studio equipment, but rather everything was tracked live in our rehearsal space, on rehearsal gear, over several rehearsals. 'Almost Live In A Dying World' showcases the evolution of Building Stars from a solo project to a four-piece live band. It captures the excitement and naivety of a new band in unfamiliar territories. Each member brings their own unique outside perspective to breathe new life into these tracks. This is a love note to the past while we are moving into the future with focus and drive. We hope you all enjoy it.
